DRAPER -- It's been cold, it's been rainy, but that isn't stopping Utah's newest water park from opening its doors Friday.

One of the owners of Cowabunga Bay in Draper, Shane Huish, says it was hailing on them as they worked on the finishing touches Thursday night, but he says, oh well. He says the water is heated to 82 degrees, so guests can have a good time, even if it is raining. With that in mind, the park will open as scheduled.

"We worked ‘til about 1:30 in the night last night, so we're good to go," Huish said.

Huish says the water play structure is basically a water park stacked six stories high. Some of the water toys include a giant bucket of water, waterslides, a lazy river and a wading pool.
