NORTH OGDEN -- A North Ogden man accused of killing his girlfriend is headed for trial.
A judge has found Johnny Maurice Bell mentally competent to stand trial.
Bell is charged with stabbing Brittany Nichols last January in her home because he was angry she wanted to break up with him.
He's also charged with domestic violence in the presence of a child, since Nichols' 3-year-old daughter was in the home at the time.
Bell's trial is scheduled to begin in August.
