OGDEN -- Books and bikes are top of mind at many Utah Schools. Some 30,000 new books have now been distributed to 100 elementary schools as part of the Ken Garff Road to Success program.

"Literacy is so important in our schools, and our kids are the future. If they don't the foundation first go-round, they'll struggle their entire lives," said Rachel Pearson, with Wal-Mart.

A few motivated readers at Pioneer Elementary School in Ogden won the grand prize bikes, presented by some big Weber State football players.
