HERRIMAN -- A Salt Lake County sheriff's deputy was justified in shooting at a Herriman man who was holding a pellet gun, according to the Salt Lake County District Attorney's Office.
Deputy Jared Richardson responded to a call of a disturbance at a Herriman home near 13668 Premier Lane on May 1.
When Robert Zisumbo came out with what looked like a gun, Richardson fired two shots.
None of them hit Zisumbo, and it turned out he was holding a pellet gun.
The Salt Lake County District Attorney's Office ruled Richardson still had reason to believe there was a real threat.
