WEST VALLEY CITY -- A task force formed to investigate the murder of two women killed exactly two years apart say they have several persons of interest in the case.

Earlier this year, police in West Valley City and Taylorsville said they would begin working together to investigate the murders of Damiana Castillo and Sonia Mejia.

Both women were found strangled in their homes on Feb. 9, Mejia in 2006 and Castillo in 2008. Police believe the crimes are linked and have asked the FBI to create a new suspect profile.

The Salt Lake Tribune reports they are hoping to use that profile and new tips from the community about possible suspects to hopefully make an arrest.
