LITTLE COTTONWOOD CANYON -- Little Cottonwood Canyon is open Monday after two avalanches swept across the road.
The slides happened Sunday afternoon just above Tanner campground. They covered the road with about 10 feet of snow, closing it for about two hours.
Officials say they expect to see more avalanches as the temperatures climb this week. The Utah Avalanche Center Web site shows avalanche danger is high in many of Utah's mountains.
