SALT LAKE CITY -- A gas leak forced residents to evacuate in a Salt Lake neighborhood Monday afternoon. It happened when construction workers struck a gas line.
Officials say the workers were operating a backhoe that hit the line.
Eight homes were evacuated as a precaution while Questar crews shut off the leak.
