FARMINGTON, Utah (AP) -- Court officials say 2nd District Court Judge Rodney S. Page is retiring.
Page is a former Davis County attorney who served as the county's top prosecutor from 1976 to 1984. He was appointed to the bench by former Gov. Scott M. Matheson.
Page has been the 2nd District's presiding judge twice. He graduated from the University of Utah in 1969 and was a partner in the law firm Hess, Palmer, Van Wagenen & Page before becoming a judge.
Davis County Attorney Troy Rawlings says he has appreciated Page's thoughtfulness in making decisions and that his retirement will leave a hole on the bench. Page's retirement is effective Sept. 1.
