(KSL News) -- A memorial service will be held today for Charles Sare, a Navy corpman killed in Iraq last week.
Sare, 23, went to Iraq in September for a six-month tour of duty, working as a medic with a Marine unit.
He was killed a week ago, when the Humvee he was riding in struck a roadside bomb. Two others Marines also died.
The memorial service, with military honors, will be held in Nibley, where his mother lives.
Sare will be buried on Thursday in Hemet, California, where he grew up.
