RIVERDALE -- A repeated drunk driver will spend up to 15 years in prison for a crash that killed a Roy man last year.

A judge sentenced Andrew Ben, 28 at the time of the wreck, to serve two prison terms consecutively, and pay more than $11,000 in restitution. Ben had pleaded guilty to two felony charges: automobile homicide and failure to stop for police.

On July 25, 2008, Ben was fleeing a Riverdale police officer when he ran a red light and slammed into a car driven by Joseph Kirk at the intersection of Riverdale Road and 36th Street in Riverdale.

Kirk died in the wreck.

The incident was Ben's fifth DUI.
