BUTTE, Mont. (AP) -- The manager of Bert Mooney Airport in Butte says a plane made an emergency landing there after an engine began smoking, but all four people on board are unhurt.
Airport manager Rick Griffith said the pilot landed the twin-engine PA-27 Aztec without incident in limited visibility Sunday afternoon.
It happened a week after a plane crashed at Holy Cross Cemetery in Butte, killing 14 people on board.
Griffith told The Montana Standard that the pilot is a flight instructor. He told the newspaper the plane is owned by a Michigan community college and had been traveling from Glacier Park International Airport in Kalispell to Provo, Utah.
