(KSL News) A federal judge says U.S. marshals were led on a "charade of a search" for a Spanish Fork teenager's body.
During a perjury trial in July, a judge allowed Timmy Brent Olsen to accompany federal agents up Spanish Fork Canyon. He then changed his story and said he didn't know where Kiplyn Davis was buried.
Now, according to the Deseret Morning News, federal prosecutors have asked for an evidentiary hearing to determine if Olsen was truthfully leading agents to Davis' body or if he obstructed justice.
Olsen was found guilty of lying to a grand jury. He will be sentenced November 21st.
