NEW YORK (AP) -- Channel your inner Barney Rubble at this prehistoric sell-off.
The skeletons of a diminutive dinosaur, a wooly mammoth and a 20-foot-long marine lizard are among the fossils that will be bid on at the Natural History Auction in Manhattan.
The rare mounted skeleton of the 150-million year-old, 9-foot-long Dryosaurus could go for as much as $500,000 at the auction hosted by I.M. Chait Gallery/Auctioneers. The mammoth skeleton could sell for up to $100,000.
The Dryosaurus fossil is being sold by Western Paleontological Laboratories in Lehi, Utah, for financial reasons.
Gallery director Josh Chait says it would make a good addition to a private collection. But he says he would like to see it go to a museum.
The auction is scheduled for Saturday.
