(KSL News) This year Utahns will vote on electronic voting machines.
If you feel uneasy about voting this way, the state elections office may have a way to calm your fears.
According to the Deseret Morning News, the paper receipts from the new voting machines will be audited after every election. This will ensure that votes are not only counted, but checked against the results on the machine's memory card.
New regulations say at least one percent of all machines are audited. In smaller races that number could be as high as five percent. In Congressional races, it will be three percent.
