SALT LAKE CITY -- Salt Lake police are trying to untangle a case of car theft that led to a kidnapping. They say somebody stole a teen's car Thursday, so he decided to retaliate by abducting the people he thought were responsible.

"He and four other males found the victims, who he thinks stole his car, and took them against their will," said Sgt. Robin Snyder, spokeswoman for the Salt Lake City Police Department.
Police found the captives with one of the captors near 1400 North and 1800 West. A few blocks away, they pulled over two more teens and arrested them.
Two of the abductors are still on the run, and police haven't recovered the car that was stolen in the first place.
