Former presidential candidate Mitt Romney and his wife apparently are victims of crime here in Utah. Park City police say someone stole up to 20 pieces of expensive jewelry from the Romneys' Deer Valley home.
According to the Park Record, Ann Romney went to get her jewelry from a box inside a walk-in closet Feb. 16 and it was gone.
Officers say some people had been working on the shower in a bathroom next door to that closet sometime between Jan. 5 and Feb. 16. Police want to talk to those workers but say they do not have a suspect in the theft.
Police say there was no evidence that someone broke into the home.
They did not immediately have an inventory of what was taken or an estimated value.
The Romneys recently put the 9,500-square-foot home on the market for $5.25 million.
