THE PHILIPPINES — Sometimes you're just in the right place at the right time. Like, if you were relaxing on a beach and thinking it might be nice to grab a bite to eat, and someone walks up and says they have an extra gift card for the nearby seafood restaurant they'd be happy to give you. As you then sit down to your free meal of scallops and lobster, you'd just have to shake your head and relish in the serendipity of it all.

Other times, you're in the wrong place at the wrong time. For example, your car gets stuck in a stinky bog and a piece of falling space debris happens to land on your hood and destroy the engine.

This video shows an example of being in the right place at the wrong time.

The spot this man was sitting was obviously the right place because it positioned him directly between the two tree trunks that came crashing down. A couple inches to the right or left and he would've been crushed.

But you can't really say he was sitting there at the right time because, like most of us, he'd probably prefer not to be in the path of any falling trees. Instead, he could've been doing something like watching TV or preparing a delicious seafood meal in the kitchen.

Of course, deliverance from chaotic moments can also help remind us of our place in the universe.

"Seeing this video a couple of times just reminds me how lucky I was and that there is someone above who is taking care of us," the caption states.

So, if this man can take inspiring lessons from the experience, perhaps he actually was in the right place at the right time.
