HURRICANE, Washington County — A man was flown to a hospital Monday morning after being ejected from a truck in a single-vehicle rollover.

The accident happened on I-15 at 11:05 a.m. Monday.

Hurricane Valley Fire and Rescue said crews were dispatched to the scene and a man was transported by Intermountain Life Flight to the St. George Regional Hospital in critical condition.

People reported seeing a Nissan truck traveling south at a high rate of speed on I-15 before losing control, hitting the barrier on the left side, rolling over the barrier, and landing on the left shoulder of the northbound lanes, said Utah Highway Patrol Sgt. Cameron Roden.

The left lane by the shoulder where the truck came to stop was already closed for construction, Roden said. He said the rest of the road was closed for a short time.
