SPANISH FORK CANYON, Utah County — Three people were seriously injured in a crash in Spanish Fork Canyon near Sheep Creek.
The crash occurred when a westbound box truck crossed into eastbound lanes and hit the driver's side of an eastbound F-150 with a trailer, according to Utah Highway Patrol Sgt. Cameron Roden. The Utah Department of Transportation first alerted to the crash at 11:15 a.m.
The box truck collided head-on with an eastbound Toyota RAV4. The trailer on the F-150 rolled and the RAV4 may have rolled, as well, Roden said.
Three people were taken to the hospital. Roden said the driver of the box truck and a man in the RAV4 were transported in serious condition. A woman in the RAV4 was taken to the hospital in critical condition.
No one in the F-150 was transported.
Roden said the vehicles were blocking all lanes of the highway, in both directions, for a time.
