THE HIDDEN VILLAGE — Former BYU running back Jamaal Williams has built up quite the reputation since entering the NFL in 2017.

His media interviews are filled with SpongeBob references, and he can cover just about every emotion. Future Hall-of-Fame quarterback Aaron Rodgers, with whom Willams played four years in Green Bay, said: "He's one of my all-time favorites. He's one of the happiest teammates we've ever had, one of the greatest guys in the locker room that I've been able to work with."

He's not just a good sound byte or a nice guy to have around, either. After leading the league with 17 rushing touchdowns last season, Williams signed a three-year deal with the New Orleans Saints worth up to $12 million.

And it hasn't taken long for his legend to grow while with the Saints. Williams has worn an anime-inspired visor during OTAs this spring.

Considering his love for the genre, that development shouldn't come as too big of a surprise.

This is the player who once said, "I don't watch TV. I watch Anime all day." A statement that was definitely backed up during a Sunday Night Football introduction, when Williams said he was "first Swagg Kazekage, leader of the hidden village of the Den." That, I'm told, is a reference to an anime called "Naruto."

The man loves himself some anime.

Unfortunately, league rules prohibit Williams from wearing the visor during games. Good thing, he's pretty good at thinking of other ways to keep entertaining.
