LOGAN — A Cache County man is in jail after police say he raped two women in recent weeks.

Spencer Eric Dodd, 23, of Logan, was charged Wednesday in two separate felony cases. In one case, he faces charges of rape, object rape and forcible sody, first-degree felonies; plus forcible sexual abuse, a second-degree felony. In the other case, Dodd is charged with rape, a first-degree felony, and forcible sexual abuse, a second-degree felony.

The latter case stems from a rape that took place on Jan. 28, according to a police booking affidavit. A woman reported to police that she was raped by Dodd at her Logan apartment.

She told police that initially she had invited Dodd to her apartment for consensual sex through a dating app, however Dodd "became aggressive, to include biting and choking her," according to the affidavit. She said she told Dodd she no longer wanted to have sex and told him to stop several times. Dodd told the woman, "No, I have you right where I want you," and continued to sexually assault her, the affidavit alleges.

The woman later called Dodd while police were listening and he admitted that he heard her tell him to stop before he continued to assault her, the affidavit says.

In a second case, another woman reported to Logan police on Monday that she was sexually assaulted by Dodd, according to another police booking affidavit. The woman told police that Dodd invited her to watch a movie and "make out."

While watching the movie, the woman told police that Dodd began making sexual advances. She said she was scared and "froze" while Dodd continued to make sexual advances before he allegedly sexually assaulted her. The woman told police that she did not consent to sex and "clearly verbally expressed her lack of consent as he began the sexual advances," the affidavit says.

During a call the woman made to Dodd while police were listening, Dodd said he "didn't listen" when the woman said she did not consent to sex, according to the affidavit.

Dodd was booked into the Cache County Jail on Monday and was being held without bail.
