SALT LAKE CITY — Salt Lake police are asking for the public's help in finding a vehicle believed to have been involved in a fatal hit-and-run crash.

On Saturday, Ernest Grandson, 63, was hit and killed near 415 E. 400 South just before 1 a.m.

Detectives believe the vehicle that hit Grandson is a newer model gray Hyundai Elantra, either a 2020 model or newer. Police say the car may have front-end damage.

Anyone with information about the vehicle is asked to call police at 801-799-3000.
