OGDEN — One man was hospitalized after he was shot during what police are calling a drive-by shooting Thursday in Ogden.

Around 12:20 p.m. Thursday, police responded to a report of shots fired in the area of 1100 Monroe Blvd., according to a news release from the Ogden Police Department.

When police arrived, they found a 41-year-old man who had been shot, though police say the gunshot wound was not life-threatening. The man was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.

The man told police that the gunshots came from a car driving on Monroe Boulevard, though it was unclear which direction it was going. He also told police there were two men inside the car that had driven by, according to the news release.

Ogden police say the shooting appears to be an isolated incident and they believe there is no ongoing threat to the public. Police say the investigation is ongoing.
