1. Amber Alert canceled: 2 children abducted in Carbon County located in Nevada

An Amber Alert issued Friday morning for two children believed to be abducted by the father of one of the boys was canceled early Saturday, according to the Utah Department of Public Safety.

2. Woman dead after head-on crash on 9400 South in Sandy

A 28-year-old woman died following a head-on collision in Sandy on Sunday that forced the closure of eastbound traffic on 9400 South for hours. The 28-year-old woman was driving an eastbound vehicle when a westbound vehicle crossed into her lane near 1700 East and collided with her head-on, Sandy Police Sgt. Clay Swensen said.

3. 22 dead, many missing after 17 inches of rain in Tennessee

At least 22 people were killed and rescue crews searched desperately Sunday amid shattered homes and tangled debris for dozens of people still missing after record-breaking rain sent floodwaters surging through Middle Tennessee.

4. Biden says US-led evacuation from Kabul is accelerating

President Joe Biden said Sunday the U.S.-led evacuation of Americans, at-risk Afghans and others from the Kabul airport accelerated this weekend, although it remains vulnerable to threats posed by the Islamic State extremist group.

5. Slow-moving storm Henri drenches Northeast US

Tropical Storm Henri socked the Northeast with strong winds as it made landfall Sunday on the coast of Rhode Island and sent lashing bands of rain westward, knocking out power to over 140,000 homes and causing deluges that closed bridges, swamped roads and left some people stranded in their vehicles.

Summerhays shot 7-under-par 65 for one of the lowest rounds of the day, finishing tied for third in his debut at the 95-year-old tournament currently held at an extremely familiar Riverside Country Club for the former BYU golfer who tried to make consecutive years with a former Cougar on top.

2. Utes identify a starting QB, but nothing made public yet

After nearly three weeks of fall camp, Kyle Whittingham and his staff have identified a starting quarterback following the program's second and final scrimmage. But that's about as far as the public will know for about a week or longer.

The vision at quarterback is coming into greater clarity, BYU coaches said after Saturday's scrimmage of fall camp.

4. 'It's criminal': Real Salt Lake's bad luck with VAR leads to loss to Colorado
