PANGUITCH, Garfield County — A man died Sunday after his car went off the road and rolled in Garfield County, authorities said.

The man was driving a 2007 Chevrolet Malibu south on state Route 89 about 20 miles north of Panguitch in Garfield County, according to a news release from the Utah Highway Patrol.

The car drifted completely off the right side of the road, according to the news release. The driver tried to regain control of the car, but the car rolled and the man was fully ejected.

The man, who is in his mid-50s, died from his injuries at the scene, the highway patrol said. He was not identified as of Monday afternoon.

Troopers suspect impairment and speed were factors in the crash, the news release said. It's not clear what time the crash took place.

Further details about the crash weren't released.
