WOODS CROSS — A motorcyclist suffered critical injuries after he crashed into a car on Wednesday afternoon, according to police.

The crash took place about 12:48 p.m. on 500 West near 2000 South in Woods Cross, according to Woods Cross Police Assistant Chief Adam Osoro.

The motorcyclist was transported to a hospital via a medical helicopter, Osoro said. The driver of the car wasn't injured.

Both directions of 500 West were closed temporarily in the area as crews investigated the crash, according to the Utah Department of Transportation. Both directions of 500 West have since reopened.

Further information about the crash was not released.
