ST. GEORGE — An Intermountain Life Flight helicopter was dispatched Saturday after a motorcyclist ran over road debris on I-15 in St. George.
Utah Highway Patrol Corporal Michael Gordon said a ladder "or some other form of road debris" may have fallen off another vehicle when a northbound rider ran into it. "As responding troopers arrived, he was unconscious at the time of arrival," Gordon said.
The Utah Department of Transportation first reported the crash online just after 3:30 p.m., and the northbound lanes were completely shut down for a brief time. The highway has since reopened.
The crash took place 10 miles north of the Arizona border.
No details on the motorcyclist's condition were immediately available.
