(KSL News) Troopers tased a man today after he tried to run from an accident.

They say the man was in a crash on 5300 South and State Street and left the scene. A trooper spotted his van as he drove onto the freeway and tried to pull him over, but the man took off.
Troopers chased him at speeds reaching 70 miles per hour before the man's van sputtered to a stop. He tried to run off on foot, but troopers tased him in a nearby parking lot and arrested him.
