THE BIRDCAGE — Ask just about anyone to construct a list of the greatest rock singers of all time and I have no doubt Robert Plant's name will be on most of them. The lead singer of the iconic rock band Led Zeppelin has an unforgettable voice with impressive range and quality all its own.
There are imitators out there, but there is only one voice that can sing "Stairway to Heaven" with the poise, intensity and beauty as Plant. Well, that is, until now.
World, meet the bird I've dubbed "Parrot Branch" — I have no idea what this bird's name is or if it's even a boy — but he can sing. His guitarist, I don't think it's Jimmy Page, but granted I haven't seen him in a while, plays the iconic progression to "Stairway" on a 12-string acoustic guitar.
Then, with perfect timing and pitch Branch starts belting out the lyrics. Well, I assume they're the lyrics; I don't speak parrot.

This rendition will really get the hairs on the back of your neck to stand on end as Branch not only does the tune and Plant justice, but quite possibly out sings him. I know that's heresy, but I can't hide what's inside of me — and what's inside of me is awe and shock at the range of Branch's vocal cords.
Welcome to the big leagues, Parrot Branch. Rock stardom can be a fickle lover, but with your talent you have no choice but to trust it.
**Warning: Please note that John Clyde is basically tone-deaf and has no idea what talent is when it comes to singing. His musical prowess is that of a baby turtle. Do not take any of his musical opinions in this piece to heart. He has no idea what he's talking about.***
Strap on a helmet because your head is about to explode when you hear Parrot Branch's voice and you're going to want to practice a little bit of safety. Remember this day, because life will never be the same after you hear this.
