(KSL News) A fugitive from Mississippi who may be in Montana has been added to the FBI's "Ten Most Wanted Fugitives" list.
Agents say Edward Eugene Harper has been a fugitive for about 14 years. He is wanted for the sexual assault of two girls, ages 3 and 8, in Hernando, Miss., in 1994. They say he then fled to avoid prosecution.
Investigators believe Harper intended to return to Montana, where he previously worked as a truck driver and considered himself to be a member of the Montana Freemen. Harper also has been a ranch hand in Montana and Wyoming.
The FBI says Harper may have assumed other identities, including Edward Eugene Trimue and Ed Harmon.
He is described as a white male, 62 years old, 5 feet 10 inches tall, 165 pounds with hazel eyes and gray hair.
The FBI is offering a reward of up to $100,000 for information leading directly to his arrest.
