Delta is joining the other airlines that charge passengers for their first checked bag.
Delta customers traveling on Dec. 5 or later who haven't booked their flight yet will need to pay $15 for their first checked bag.
Rudy Banuelos doesn't like it. "I think that's the bottom line is that everything is passed on to the consumer, so I don't agree with it," he said.
Delta is trying to bring its pricing and policies in line with Northwest, after buying that airline. Delta is eliminating its fuel surcharge for frequent flier award tickets and eliminating the $3 fee for curbside check-in.
Up until now, Delta had been one of the only airlines not to charge for the first bag. It had billed $50 for the second checked bag.
