THE LIVING ROOM — Let’s talk about the elephant in the isolation house that no one is talking about.

Snacks.

Since March, snacks have become the base of our nutrition pyramid as well as a new meal (or many new meals) in our day. We’ve basically turned into Hobbits with our breakfast, second breakfast, elevensies, and beyond.

But staying home hasn’t just affected our collective waistlines, it has also affected the time we spend with our pets.

Our cats and dogs have never seen this kind of attention. According to the internet, the cats were ready for us to go back to the office in week one of isolation and dogs Could. Not. Get. Enough. Of. Home. Time.

But that can only last so long, and maybe even dogs are now feeling the feels of too much attention.

Yesterday's Have You Seen This?

Don’t worry, the snacks-dog connection is going somewhere. And it’s going to that place right now.

In this featured video, a dog named Ruby is chillaxing (as the kids say) with its owners as they watch TV. A call for pets and cuddles goes unheeded, likely with a big sigh and an internal, "Ug, Sharon, let sleeping dogs lie."

But with the single mention of the word "popcorn," we see where Ruby’s priorities truly lie. Snacks. (See, I told you there was a connection.)

Watch the video to see Ruby’s hilarious reaction to her snacks.
