SALT LAKE CITY — Unified police officers have made the largest contraband confiscation in the state's history, they joked according to a Facebook post from the agency.

Officers in the Magna precinct posed next to nearly 400 rolls of "illicit toilet paper" to bring light to an act of kindness.

The manager of the Magna Burger King asked the precinct how they could help the community during the COVID-19 pandemic, and the results of Wednesday's earthquake. Officers suggested the Burger King should help residents stock their thrones.

The restaurant chain provided 380 rolls of toilet paper to be given to those in need.

"We also want to remind our community that people like this manager and the officer are still forced to work every day to try and take care of their communities the best they can," read the post. "They’ve asked that we share a message of being kind to each other and to do your part to take care of each other in difficult times like these."

To continue to help the community, the American Red Cross is in a severe blood shortage and the Utah Food Bank is in need of volunteers and donations.
