OGDEN — An Ogden man has been arrested for investigation of numerous charges for allegedly engaging in a sexual relationship with a teenage girl.

Michael Ramses Munguia, 26, was arrested Wednesday for investigation of seven counts of unlawful sexual activity with a minor, three counts of sodomy on a child, two counts of sexual abuse of a minor and four counts of sexual exploitation of a minor.

Detectives say a 14-year-old girl had been communicating with Munguia for several years.

“The 14-year-old female was interviewed ... at which time she disclosed having sexual intercourse with the arrestee. She disclosed multiple offenses,” according to a police booking affidavit.

When Munguia was interviewed by detectives, “he confessed to at least seven instances of sexual intercourse, countless nude photos, sodomy and touching of genitalia by both parties. The arrestee admitted to knowing it was wrong and being clearly aware of the female’s age, as he claimed to have known her since she was 9,” according to the affidavit.
