SALT LAKE CITY — Lanes have reopened after a rollover crash blocked all lanes of eastbound state Route 201 approaching Bangerter Highway Tuesday morning, officials said.

As of 8:30 a.m., all lanes of the freeway were clear, according to the Utah Department of Transportation's website.

The crash near 4800 West forced traffic off state Route 201 at 5600 West, according to the KSL Traffic Center. The ramp from 5600 West to eastbound state Route 201 was also closed.

There was another crash in the same area that happened about 45 minutes before the rollover, according to KSL Newsradio's Heather Kelly.

Details of the incident, including possible injuries, were not immediately available.

Additionally, a head-on crash briefly closed I-80 near Skull Valley in Tooele County, the traffic center reported.

A car was traveling east in westbound lanes of the highway, according to the Utah Highway Patrol. One person suffered serious injuries and was transported to the hospital via a medical helicopter, UHP said. Impairment is suspected as a possible factor in the crash, UHP said.

The highway was shut down while the helicopter landed on the roadway, according to UHP.

One eastbound left lane is still closed in the area. The freeway was expected to reopen around 9:30 a.m., according to a tweet from UDOT.
