SARATOGA SPRINGS — A 64-year-old man was transported to a hospital by a medical helicopter after a motorcycle crash.

The crash occurred at 2314 N. Redwood Road in Saratoga Springs, according to Utah Highway Patrol trooper Tara Wahlberg.

The Utah Department of Transportation tweeted about the accident Saturday at around 4 p.m.

UHP officials say the victim was not wearing a helmet, but his injuries are not considered to be life-threatening and he does not appear to have suffered any head injuries.

Redwood Road was temporarily closed in both directions due to the crash.

Editor's note: An earlier version of this story stated that the man was taken to a hospital by a Utah Highway Patrol helicopter. He was actually taken by a Life Flight helicopter. This article has been amended to reflect this distinction.
