LEHI — A woman was seriously injured in a crash on I-15 Saturday afternoon.

The crash occurred on southbound I-15 near mile marker 281 in Lehi shortly after 3 p.m., according to a tweet from the Utah Highway Patrol.

A woman was taken to a nearby hospital with serious injuries, UHP said.

Details about how the crash occurred or if anyone else was injured were not immediately available.

Two left lanes were briefly closed as a result of the crash but have since opened up.

UHP urged drivers to "please buckle up and drive alert."
