SALT LAKE CITY — A 31-year-old man was arrested over the weekend for allegedly posing as a much younger person in order to solicit explicit photos from a teen girl.

Once he received the pictures, Alan J. Tinoco, of West Valley City, then "told the victim if she did not have sex with him, he would share the nude photographs with her family and friends," according to a Salt Lake County Jail report.

Tinoco met a 16-year-old girl online while posing as a 19-year-old man, the report states. He requested she send him nude pictures and videos of herself to him, which she did, according to the report. After he threatened to share the photos, the girl arranged to meet with the man.

"(Tinoco) was detained by police in the process of meeting up with the victim to have sex with her," the report states.

He told police he was "joking" about having sex with the girl, according to the jail report. Tinoco was arrested for investigation of dealing in harmful materials to a minor, sexual exploitation of a minor and enticing a minor by internet.
