1. Quick-moving snow storm hits Utah

A "quick-hitting storm" made its way through Utah Sunday with snow totals varying from less than 1 inch in some areas to more than 6 inches in the mountains.

2. Police: Woman critical after being hit by intoxicated, wrong-way driver

A 19-year-old woman was in critical condition Sunday after a head-on crash that police say was caused by a wrong-way driver who was arrested for investigation of DUI.

3. Friends react to 'senseless crime' as St. George father of four is gunned down

A father of four and former high school football star was gunned down outside a St. George bar early Saturday. Police said Spencer Maluafiti Tafua, 34, was shot and killed just before 1:30 a.m. outside the One and Only Bar, 64 N. 800 East.

4. Unified police officers set up Millcreek sobriety checkpoint as DUI law change looms

Unified police officers set up a DUI checkpoint near the intersection of 3900 South and Highland Drive about 10 p.m. Friday, and were there through 2 a.m. Saturday. In total, 563 drivers came through the checkpoint with seven arrests reported.

5. 4 people from 2 parties take accidental plunges on ice fishing outings

Members of two ice fishing groups fell through the ice on Utah reservoirs Saturday morning and survived. One of them spent about 10 minutes in the freezing water before he was fully rescued.

1. Jazz cruise over lifeless Knicks

The Jazz (18-19) took a 40-point lead in the first half and went on to win 129-97 over a completely lifeless Knicks team.

2. Utah falls to sixth-ranked Nevada despite Barefield's 33 points

Utah fell 86-71 to Nevada in its final nonconference game at the Jon M. Huntsman Center, and in the process, to 6-6 on the season, with Barefield’s big game — 33 points, two shy of his career-high — going to waste.

3. BYU basketball blown out by No. 19 Mississippi State, 103-81 in nonconference finale

Aric Holman poured in 28 points and eight rebounds, and Quinndary Weatherspoon added 27 points, five rebounds and three assists as No. 19 Mississippi State ran away from BYU, 103-81 Saturday in a nonconference finale for both teams at Humphrey Coliseum in Starkville, Mississippi.

4. Merrill's 28 helps Utah State roll by NAIA Eastern Oregon, 84-57

Sam Merrill poured in 28 points on 9-of-14 shooting to lead Utah State to a 84-57 win over NAIA Eastern Oregon to wrap up nonconference play Friday night at the Spectrum.

5. Toolson scores 15, Utah Valley beats Fresno State 64-60

Jake Toolson scored 15 points to help Utah Valley beat Fresno State 64-60 on Saturday night and snap the Bulldogs' seven game win streak.

Utah Valley (11-4) has won five in a row and 10 of its last 11.
