THE NEWSROOM — Billionaire tech innovator Elon Musk’s latest idea is to create a website that rates journalists and news organizations based on their credibility.

Musk’s company Tesla has been in the news recently in Utah because a Tesla Model S car got in a crash while it was in autopilot mode in South Jordan.

Musk tweeted this week that the website, which might be called Pravda, will allow the public to rate the “core truth” of articles. The website also would allow users to track a “credibility score” over time for journalists and publications, Musk said.

Musk previously criticized the media over its coverage of the South Jordan crash.

What do you think of his idea to allow the public to judge journalists and news organizations? An overwhelming majority of people who responded to a poll Musk tweeted are in favor of the idea.

While we’re on the subject of truth and the news media, take’s weekly Fake News Quiz!
