THE NORTH POLE — “Go and meet Santa,” they said. “It’ll be fun,” they said.
While old St. Nick is often synonymous with cheer and joy, it would seem that these children emphatically disagree. And while it is a time-honored tradition to get that quintessential photo of kids meeting Santa for the first time, sitting on his lap to tell him what they’d like for Christmas, the kids in these photos just couldn’t handle it.
Not that I can blame them— the whole idea of sitting on a stranger’s lap and telling them your gift wish list is a little strange if you think about it. But as parents, we continue the tradition year after year of taking photos of our kids who are sitting on Santa’s lap, hoping that one year our kids will no longer be afraid, and we can finally get that picture perfect moment of Christmas joy.
But until that happens, please enjoy the following gallery submitted by KSL.com readers. Merry Christmas to all!
