(KSL News) Sandy police busted some people who they say were preparing marijuana to deal from their home.
Police say they served a search warrant at the home yesterday after a two-month investigation. Inside they found 15 pounds of marijuana, along with packaging materials.
Sgt. Justin Chapman, with the Sandy City Police Department, said, "The 15 pounds has a street value of about $45,000. So it was obviously a quantity we were very happy to get out of the area and out of the neighborhood."
Police say the home is next door to an elementary school, though there is no evidence to suggest the suspects were selling marijuana to the children. However, the suspects could face harsher charges because of the home's location.
