(KSL News) Residents in Mapleton are getting a pleasant surprise in the form of refunded money.
In July the city council raised water rates to as much as $800 per month. But now the council has reduced the costs, and it plans to refund residents the difference, retroactive clear back to July.
The mayor told the Deseret News water is expensive but should be in line with surrounding communities.
