(KSL News) Court proceedings in an attempted kidnapping case have halted because of a dispute over the competency of the defendant.
Two different doctors submitted competency reports in the case of 51-year-old Terryette Woods, and apparently they contradict each other. A new evaluation has now been ordered by the judge.
Woods is accused of trying to take two children from the Salt Lake Main Library in June. Police say she grabbed the two girls by the wrists telling them, "You're coming with me." She let them go when they called for help.
