WORLD RECORD TOWN — World records are often cool, often mind-blowing, and sometimes ridiculous. This one kind of falls into the aggravating category.
This video shows a new world record when a group lights 72,585 candles on a birthday cake. The video is pretty interesting, and a little terrifying, as you see the power of over 72,000 birthday candles lit at once. It's also maddening, because they put them out with fire extinguishers, and ruin a giant birthday cake. Come on people, don't waste cake. That's just cruel.

Driving around unmarked warehouses can be confusing. But that doesn't stop these two little ladies from finding the candle supply store.This has also given me an idea about a new record I can break. I've always wanted to be in the Guinness Book of World Records, and I now see my opportunity. The most lit candles on a birthday cake is currently sitting at 72,585, as we've seen with this video. However, the amount of lit candles on a cake made for John Clyde on a Tuesday in December is currently at zero. So, I'm going to go make some phone calls and get myself in that book.
