Barack Obama's Utah campaign is shifting some of its volunteers to Colorado. So is it throwing in the towel here?
Volunteer Coordinator Pablo Sanchez says no. Still, a brigade of Obama volunteers is heading for Grand Junction, Colo. Sanchez says it comes down to simple strategy.
"Colorado is a swing state," he said.
He insists there is plenty of excess Obama enthusiasm to spare.
"That's not an indication that we're not focusing on Utah. Utah still, in our mind, is very much in play," he said.
Unlike Utah, where John McCain's lead stretches from 20 to 30 points, the race in Colorado is skin-tight. The Utah volunteers will spend every weekend in Grand Junction until the election.
