(KSL News) Search and rescue crews helped a stranded hiker down the mountain in Little Cottonwood Canyon this afternoon.
The hiker got stuck about five miles up the canyon and ran out of water.
He called 911 on his cell phone, and crews became worried because the man seemed disoriented and dehydrated.
They kept talking to the 24-year-old man while they hiked to his location. They now plan to escort him back down the trail to safety.
