NORTH OGDEN — One person was killed and two others were seriously injured Monday evening in a three-vehicle wreck on I-15.

The crash occurred around 8 p.m. when a northbound Ford Mustang lost control on the freeway in North Ogden, said Utah Highway Patrol Sgt. Todd Royce.

The Mustang was T-boned by another car and then struck by a second following vehicle, according to Royce. The driver of the Mustang was killed in the crash.

Two others were taken from the scene by ambulance in serious condition.

Northbound I-15 traffic was temporarily shut down at 2700 North, and motorists met heavy delays of 20 minutes or more.

There was light snow in the area. The Utah Highway Patrol said slide-offs were frequent on Weber County's freeways beginning around 3 p.m. Monday and warned drivers to slow down.
