OREM — Police asked for help Wednesday to identify the man who followed a driver home and attacked him with a machete.
The road rage incident started near Geneva Elementary School, located at 700 W. 400 North in Orem, when the driver of a Toyota Camry or Honda Accord confronted another driver at about 8:20 a.m. on Dec. 9, according to the Orem Police Department. The driver told police the man boxed him in and kicked his car door.
When the driver left, the man followed him home, according to police. A second confrontation ensued at the driver's home in the area of 500 North and 1000 West.

The victim drove off and went home (near 500 N. 1000 W.). The suspect followed him there and when our victim approached the man, the man hit him with a machete, causing a large, deep gash on the side or our victims face. "The suspect followed him there and when our victim approached the man, the man hit him with a machete, causing a large, deep gash on the side of our victim's face," a statement from police reads.
Police posted a video of the altercation on the Orem Police Department's Facebook page Wednesday.
Investigators described the man as being a white man who is between 45 and 50 years old. He has brown hair and is "heavy set." The man was wearing a black coat, black hat, blue shorts and yellow shoes at the time of the incident.
