SALT LAKE CITY — A fire wiped out a large shed early Saturday and with it all of its contents, including motorcycles, vintage automobiles and some furniture.
Salt Lake fire spokesman Jasen Asay said a woman was in the shed at the time the fire broke out at 880 W. Emeril Ave. (30 North) and was rescued by a passerby.
Asay said the passerby kicked in the shed door to help the woman in the 10:30 a.m. incident, but she ran off before she could be questioned by authorities.
A quick attack by crews at the scene contained the fire to the shed, which Asay described as 20 feet by 50 feet. The shed, however, was a complete loss as well as its contents.
Investigators hope to speak with the woman to help determine the cause of the fire.
An estimated $5,000 worth of damage was done in the fire.
